PEOPLE ASK US
. . . how we came up with some of the scenes in this book. Like the little French girl with the apple, and the time when our Kathleen is splayed out on the wingtip of a small airplane that is trying to land on the water with one pontoon missing.
In another scene there's a hundred people all stretched out in a line and hanging
on to each other's wrists for dear life in a howling sand storm in Africa. That
really happened to us, but it was a snow storm in Reykjavik, Iceland.
We've learned that love is more important than anything, and we put that in the story too. And we've have found out that A family" is sometimes a hard thing to get right, but well worth the effort. That's also in the story. And you'll see we like good sex. But we hate liars! Especially in high office.
Many of these scenes are straight from our own experiences. Even some of the pretty weird ones. You might say we haven't lived a very typical life.
